Regular buses leave from outside the ferry terminal, taxis are readily available and ferries to Herm and Sark are just a short walk away. If you’d like the flexibility of your own vehicle, hire cars are also available from the ferry terminal.

Getting Around Guernsey

Everything you need is within easy reach of the ferry terminal. Whether you want to travel by bus, taxi or on foot, Guernsey is easy to explore. Here are the best ways to get around and make the most of your day.

By Bus

The 91 bus to the town bus terminus stops directly outside the ferry terminal every hour at 39 minutes past the hour.

If you’re travelling elsewhere on the island, the main bus terminus is just a short walk from the ferry terminal, where you can connect with services to beaches, coastal walks and attractions across Guernsey.

By Taxi

Taxis are available directly outside the ferry terminal whenever ferries arrive.

They’re a convenient option if you’re travelling with luggage, heading straight to your accommodation or visiting beaches, cliff paths and attractions further afield.

On Foot

Many of St Peter Port’s most popular attractions are within easy walking distance of the ferry terminal.

If you’re not sure where to start, the Visitor Information Centre is just a short walk away. The friendly team can help with maps, walking routes, attractions, events and local recommendations to help you make the most of your visit.

Hire Cars

Prefer the freedom to explore at your own pace? Hire cars are available from the ferry terminal, making it easy to discover Guernsey’s beaches, country lanes and coastal viewpoints. Booking in advance is recommended during the summer months.

Island Ferries

Herm Island and Isle of Sark ferries depart from the Inter-Island Quay, just a couple of minutes’ walk from the ferry terminal. Whether you’re planning a day trip to another island or looking ahead to your next visit, both islands are well worth discovering.
